i think this feature was removed with v2.0 and is currently in development for the newer versions, anyway for our daily work would be more convenient if we can move an editor window to a second screen for a better comparison of two result sets or simply have not switch between the tabs when we want to see a definition for a query or get an overview of the jobs or optimization

as you correctly wrote, this feature was already available in older versions of 1.9 but we had to disable it in newer versions of 1.9 and 2.0. The main reason behind was a limitation (and a bug) with Drag&Drop feature of tabs in Eclipse RCP.
Since we recently upgraded to one of the latest Eclipse RCP versions, we will check if this issue is also solved there or if we need to adapt anything on our side.
I pushed this topic with our developers and I will update you as soon as I have additional info.
Thanks again for posting your request to Data Virtuality Community.
I am happy to inform you that we worked on this feature and it will be officially released in the upcoming minor 2.1.15.
A simple upgrade to the latest Eclipse RCP platform did not help to solve the problem and we had to fully rework our internal implementation.
