    Hi Eralper,

thanks for your request, this is a very good question. We will add it to the documentation, but let me explain the roles quickly.

One remark first: you can inspect the roles in DV Studio, when clicking service / manage users / roles.

    admin-role

This role has all permissions. It is valid for the current virtual database (vdb).

    super-admin-role

This role also has all permissions, but it is valid across all virtual databases (vdb)

    connect-dv-role

This role allows the user to connect, change the password, refresh data sources plus some internal permissions. Every user should have this role to start. The users will be able to connect to DV, but not read any data. These permissions should be added with an additional role.

    export-dv-role

This role enables the user to create an export of the DV server as an SQL file via the File Export function in DV Studio.

The option to create temporary tables in the role allows the users to create in-memory tables.

Please let me know if this info was helpful and if there are open questions.

    Best,
    Matthias
