Option to disable an data source

Hi today if we have troubles with a data source during the restart (locked databased for instance) we need to restart DV in maintenance mode and delete the corresponding data source and restart in default mode again. It would be great to have the option to disable a data source (XML config and DV Studio).

  We have already a similar request in our product backlog and I've added a +1 on it.

  Hi Sebastian,

  we have discussed this topic with our product team and, even if I cannot provide any ETA at the moment, I have added a +1 to this feature request so that it can be prioritized internally.

  Even if it's not exactly the same, I wondered if you looked already at the global and local properties for handling the metadata caches.
  In particular:

  • importer.enableMetadataCache  and importer.skipMetadataLoadOnStartup properties that can be set at data source level
  • dv.enablemetadatacache and dv.refreshmetadataonstart system properties that can be set globally

  Do you think it can be helpful in your case, at least as a workaround?
