Shopify can impose action on apps using legacy API versions
We received the email from Shopify that applications using API old API versions can be delisted from the Shopify application store, and stop accepting new user registrations. While in most cases it is not affecting customers using private applications, we recommend updating to version 2022-10, which is the most recent version.
In any case, calls to non-supported versions are automatically fallen back to the oldest currently supported API version, which is 2022-01 as of December, 22, 2022.
During previous updates, the connector was delivered with previous API versions, and adapting to the new version in most cases requires only a modification of the endpoint in the data source properties (e.g. change 2021-10 to 2022-10).
However Shopify makes slight modifications to the properties returned (e.g. adding new fields and deprecating others). While such changes are not large, and it is safe to continue operating the old binaries with the new version, we recommend requesting a connector update from our support team.

On April 1, 2023, Shopify will disable support for API versions prior to 2022-07. It may also delist apps that make calls to the deprecated API versions prior to the specified. Please ensure that the API version in the endpoint property of the Shopify data source is up to date to ensure that access is not lost. SaaS customers of Data Virtuality were updated to version 2022-07 in December 2022, and no action is required at this time.
